Basuki: I Smell Discordance in Trash Management

Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama acknowledged the existence of the garbage trucks in the capital is still lacking. As a result, waste transportation cannot be done optimally.

We want to rent all trucks but it is still lacking. That means I smell there is discordance

Hence, his party rent some garbage trucks owned by private side. Unfortunately, until now, the existence of garbage truck is still lacking. "We want to rent all trucks but it is still lacking. That means I smell there is discordance," he stated, at City Hall, Monday (7/14).

The man who popularly called as Ahok suspected there is discordance in trash management. Moreover, the transported waste is calculated per ton, instead of based on river clean.

Again, City Received Garbage Trucks

He exemplified if the cleanliness on floor is not valued from the price, but how many tons of trash can be transported from the floor.

Basuki asserted at this time, there is no longer contractor payment because trash management in the river has been taken over by city administration. "Previously, local government spent money for waste transportation per ton in the river. Perhaps people get money if they throw trash to the river," he stated.
